blood flows through the hearts of the loveless
who manage image with fashion
who in voyeur 
watch online influencers
with childlike attention spans 

in the absence 
of love
the loveless cling on to ideas 
of identity
remain anti 
definition  
among the loveless.

blood flows through the hearts of the loveless   
who walk 
alone 
through streets full of headphones 
and lap dogs 
as though sounds played 
repeatedly 
and animals who can’t talk back
substitute a feeling
of being loved.
