a good road hustle
works best
when they don’t know
who you, really are.
it goes smoother
tastes sweeter—
a bit like peanut butter
when good looks and soft touches
are disguised by thoughtful responses.
a sense of understanding, priceless.

some of the best hustles, I know
have been set on the lonely men—of all ages
by sharp women with thick thighs
and pert breasts
that bounce when they walk braless—
wholesome feminist types
lost in the naivety of youthful beauty.
these humbling ones
seem to fully understand
the social impact of timely eye contact.
and they deliver a smile as constant
and illuminated, as the moon.
thoughts linger until an afterthought.
