sweat on the sheets

like pimples across cheek.

have you forgotten how you grew into love?

she strokes his arm, tells him,

it’s not too late, brings lips forward.

he grips hips. cups tits.

outside a siren rips

like dress, worn out through summer

you are never alone, she whispers.

he unzips, everything. a light dims.
