sun dance never waits for tomorrow

thousand winds no whispers, no sorrow

-

salmon river, true blood heart they must follow

the Cheyanne know natures gifts can’t be borrowed.

-

tribal people won’t voice their goodbyes

land of stone and light knows that battles lie.

-

smoke rise message, blown away feathered man

Morning Star spirit rests among native land.
