loveless time starves the mind

of ambition

what if this or that happens

thoughts drift in, move through, you.  

and these thoughts

they can anchor the body down

submerge you with chain mail fears

of what could have been.

loveless time can enrapt the body and mind.

something is amiss feelings

only stay evergreen in the absence

of love

of hope.
