people like to tell me things

particularly drunk men in pub bathrooms

bloated figures who stagger over to a trough

pink cheeked and dead eyed

as the bell ring nears

for last orders.

these men stink of drink and smoke and perfume

vacant eyes contain a lifetime of not enough.

most of the men who tell me things have tattoos
