C'est spectaculaire, David, merci! Engrossing, immersive story, with glorious photographs as accompaniments. I'm so excited to read part deux and trois!
I managed to go upstairs for a poetry reading and tea before meeting George, Sylvia was probably in her thirties then, lovely woman, store, place for tumbleweeds to blow.
So well-written! I feel like I’m there with you. Tell me, did you ever make it to the saint-Michele ? IMHO the stained glass is superior to those of Notre Dame. A quieter, less appreciated treasure.
Wow! I cannot imagine what it was like to meet him, was he cool? Jim and the women is another story, I read the biography by Manzerik, made me want to read On the Road and become a writer shortly after - big influence on my young mind at the time.

Thank you Nadia! ❤️🕯️
Good start
Thanks Jimmy D
Thank you Deborah :)
This story is from around 20 years ago in terms of memory. 2005 ish :)
Beautifully described. Felt I was there with you, a different side of Paris than I remember. When were you there?
This sounds like a film noir story set in the present ! Please keep them coming !
Appreciate the words as always Daniel
I'd like to do descriptions as vivid as yours, David. Great work !
Fantastic writer. I would not be so brave as you, though I eagerly anticipate the next episode of this tale.
Thank you so much Patricia!
I am told she was at the til when I bought a copy of Calligraphies by Marilyn Hacker.

Oh Wow!
I think I have the name wrong. Chapel near Notre Dame anyway! Safe travels!

It was illuminating. One of my maternal cousins was an exchange student in Paris in the 70's. I wish that I had her email so I could send her this.
Thank you sir - feel free to spread the good word :)
That I can & will do. I've got a work still unpublished around here. L'Chaim !
Thank you Coco! I will go there, sounds divine.
Marvellously evocative - and I’ve just been there this morning!
Wow, thank you, are you in the store? I miss Paris!
I was 3 hours ago and had to queue for 30 min to get in; who said people don’t read any more!
I met George Whitman before his passing, his daughter runs it now - amazing place to be.

Bowie is God! Love his music so much. Lived in Berlin a few years, on the same street he did for a time, felt magical
Love the doors !
Thank you Karen so much - and yes! typo alert. I love having a platform for writers! :)
